  • From standing, step one foot behind you, flat on the floor, and reach up and back, creating a long arch from the tip of your fingers to the back heel.

  • Feel for a stretch in your hip flexor, the muscle that sits between your thigh and torso, on the side you’re stepping back with.

  • Return to standing, hands back down at your sides. Repeat on the other side.
